Uakii Wilderness: is a Namibian tour facilitator, established in March 2004 & is registered with both the Ministry of Trade and Industry, number cc/2004/0502 and Namibia Tourism Board no: TFA 00041. The company is owned by an indigenous entrepreneur from Omaheke Region name Peter-Hain Uaakisa Kazapua, who has 14 years of tourism experience. Uakii Wilderness specializes incultural, heritage, historical, & wilderness-survival experience in Namibia which is completely a new tourism concept/product in the Omaheke Region & Namibia at large. We welcome clients/guest with a different mindset and who through there are willing and prepared to support local communities in their rural remote settings. Travellers that will benefit locals and in a way improve their living conditions and be able to put food on their table.

Our concept focus is more on culture, heritage, history thus 95% work with remote rural communities & are educational tours / visits / courses with hands on experience, meaning that our guest /clients learn by doing it themselves. In addition to offering a bush survival product in partnership with San groups. Uakii Wilderness also provide tours and marketing assistance to local and neighboring communities of the Tswana, Damara, OvaHerero, Ovambanderu and OvaHimbatrebes thus playing a crucial role of marketing and promoting tourism enterprises in the Kalahari region. The company’s cultural tours are uniquely a joint co-operation between the communities in the rural areas, and the company and truly a unique offering complementing other traditional tourism activities in the region and country at large. Furthermore the company has successfully operated as the only Gobabis tourism information & Coffee center and played a major role in hosting journalists doing documentaries on the town of Gobabis. The company is also involved in the Gobabis museum project and serves on various consultative bodies amongst stakeholders in tourism in the town.
